So how has your year been so far? Mine has been great. I have a lot to be grateful for; I am in good health, I have money to pay my bills, a roof over my head and plenty to eat, too much sometimes. I have a great family that loves me and wants the best for me. I have met a wonderful women that thinks I am wonderful and it is just so wonderful, oh you know how it is with new love, wonderful. I am at my lightest weight in at least forty-five years, I have a blog that I like doing and hopefully may help others to be healthier and happier in the future. The sky’s the limit; better things are just around the corner, the good life, so to speak. What do I need a new year for, I have it all.
Some of this is tongue in cheek but I did have a good year and I bet that regardless of how bad yours was you can find a lot to be grateful for. If you did have a quote ” bad year”look for the little things along the way that made you smile, that lifted your heart, that made the day bearable. I know you had them; you just have to remember them, give them credit, they helped you get through the year. Just think how hard it would have been without them. There was someone who smiled at you or went just a little out of their way to make your life easier. Said thank you when you really needed it, held the door for you or said have a good day. We all have things to be grateful for; sometimes we just have to look harder to find them but it is worth it to look. We will be happier for it, we will feel that our life had more purpose, that this time has not been wasted. The more we see our blessings the more blessing we have to see.
If you have had a great year it doesn’t mean you have any less need to feel blessed or to be grateful for what you do have. The more gratitude you have the more you will have to be grateful for. Weather you have a little or a lot; be grateful, for with gratitude you open your heart to receive more.
Whatever kind of year you had in 2012; let’s open our hearts going into the new year to make 2013 our best year ever. The more we give to others the more we receive in return. I am open and ready for the new year and I can’t wait to see what the new year brings. I hope that everyone reading this will be just as grateful for the past year this time next year as I am now.
Thanks for visiting, you are always welcome here. May you and yours have a healthy and happy day and a wonderful and prosperious 2013. David Johnson
